BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha's award-winning web department will be tweeting, blogging and e-mailing throughout the NAMM show when it introduces the Connect With Yamaha campaign, which will offer up-to-the-minute information about products and events. The initiative will tie traditional media outreach like video and print with new social and mobile media tools, including Twitter, Facebook, SMS alerts, blogs and an iPhone app. Yamaha will also stream live and archived video at the NAMM Web site and at Yamaha's HubTV, the live broadcast component of The Hub, Yamaha's multimedia portal for All Things Yamaha (available at www.yamaha.com/thehub).

"We've expanded our capabilities to offer a large palette of information about Yamaha in several convenient formats," said Jeff Hawley, Manager, Marketing Content, Yamaha Corporation of America. "With social media, iPhone apps and live streamed video, we can keep people up to date with what's happening in the world of Yamaha in real time."

With a simple tap of their iPhone or iPod touch, NAMM attendees will be able to access Yamaha via the Follow Me application, providing a map of the company's booth in the Marriott Hotel's Marquis Ballroom, access to popular Yamaha podcasts, a booth schedule and an exclusive new product brochure. An SMS text service will alert opt-in subscribers about important live broadcast events during the show. A special code will be included in print ads allowing attendees to opt-in to Yamaha's mobile alerts service.
