Eight-Year-Old Megan Chang to Perform With Beach Cities Symphony Orchestra in California

A student at Torrance Yamaha Music School, Megan is enrolled in the Yamaha Junior Special Advanced Course. Her study at Torrance Yamaha Music School includes group lessons in comprehensive training in the fundamentals of music, including solfege (ear training), keyboard harmony, music appreciation, keyboard ensemble, improvisation, composition and performance.
Megan is one of many Yamaha Music School students who have distinguished themselves in recent competitions. The Yamaha Method is uniquely regarded by musicians and educators around the world as the highest quality music education for young children, paving the way for careers as professional musicians and teachers.
The Beach Cities Symphony will feature Megan Chang's piano solo, Piano Concerto in C, K. 246, first movement by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This concert will celebrate the fourth concert of the Orchestra's 60th season.
The event will take place at Marsee Auditorium, El Camino College, Center for the Arts Campus,16007 Crenshaw Boulevard at Redondo Beach Blvd., Torrance, California.
