Yamaha Seeks Talented Interns for Winter/Spring 2012 Semester

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Continuing its highly successful internship program, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division seeks two talented interns for the Winter/Spring 2012 semester to support its Wind Instrument marketing and Artist Relations programs.

The company seeks current or recently graduated college students with strong backgrounds in music, music education, or music business for positions in the program. Two paid engagements are available: one in Wind Instrument Marketing at corporate headquarters in Buena Park, California; and the other with Artist Relations in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The duration of both internships will be from January to April 2012.

The Band & Orchestral Division oversees marketing and sales, as well as research and development initiatives for strings, wind instruments and concert and marching percussion, along with education, sales, programs and R&D for school music programs throughout the United States.

There are currently ten Yamaha employees who have completed the Yamaha internship program. John Wittmann, Director, Artist Relations, continues to oversee this program and will be responsible for recruiting and placing interns.
