Yamaha Introduces 200, 300 And 400 Series Flutes with Refined Designs, Beautiful Sound and Unmatched Reliability

ANAHEIM (January 21, 2016) - Yamaha today introduced the next generation of flutes with the release of the company’s 200, 300, and 400 series Standard and Intermediate models designed to offer beautiful sound, excellent value, unsurpassed durability and reliable construction for all levels of performance.

By introducing improvements to every facet of the manufacturing process, Yamaha addresses the demands of flutists who want both an instrument that produces a consistently accurate sound and pitch along with a build quality that will last for years.

Improvements to the design elements and construction improve pitch, durability, and accuracy in each of the models, enabling students to easily learn skills and techniques, in an instrument that is both dependable and affordable.

"Yamaha has truly responded to the players - the students, the band members, the session players, and the dealers who give us feedback," said Brian Petterson, marketing manager, wind instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Each of these people contributed to the mission of creating the best possible flutes that have personal value as much as performance."

The new Yamaha 200, 300 and 400 series flutes feature pointed key arms for a more consistent and precise seal that is more accurate and airtight. Improvements in the manufacturing process provide more reliability, durability and increase player comfort, as well as improving the tactile appeal.

By producing flutes that incorporate beautiful sound, durable design, and accurate pitch, these Standard and Intermediate flutes are built to provide value that lasts for every performance environment.
