Yamaha Stage Box Solution for TF Mixer Series Adds Dante™ Capabilities for Quick Set Up and Operation

ANAHEIM (January 21, 2016) - Yamaha today introduced the Tio1608-D Dante™ equipped I/O Rack and the NY64-D Dante I/O expansion card for the TF Series Digital Mixers at The 2016 NAMM Show. Following the "Design Meets Intuition" concept of the TF Series' TouchFlow Operation™, this digital snake solution allows for fast, easy setup for both novice and professional users and eliminates the need to use a network switch.

The Tio1608-D offers a QuickConfig mode, which auto patches the inputs and outputs without requiring a computer to configure. With just three easy steps and a CAT5e LAN cable, sound engineers can network the Tio1608-D from the stage to the TF console for high-quality, low-latency audio transfer with 16 mic/line inputs and eight line outputs. Up to three units can be daisy-chained to offer 48 inputs and 24 outputs.

The NY64-D expansion card, increases the capability of the TF series to route audio over a Dante network and is a snap to install. It allows for the transmission and reception of up to 64 input channels and 64 output channels of uncompressed 48kHz/24bit digital audio data.

In addition to the Tio1608-D and the NY64-D, V2.0 of the TF Firmware will include feature enhancements requested by users plus additional QuickPro Presets™ for microphones and speakers.

"The natural, musical sound of the TF series is enhanced by the addition of these two products," said, Nithin Cherian, marketing manager, MI Pro Audio, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Yamaha paid meticulous attention to detail when developing the Tio1608-D and NY64-D, carrying out exhaustive performance and listening tests to ensure that the Dante protocol delivers precise synchronization, low latency and high sample accuracy."

The Tio1608-D and the NY64-D will ship in March 2016.
