Yamaha Success at DCI

DCI Competitions
The Madison Scouts (pictured above) finished strongly among the top 8 corps in the 2003 championship.
Orlando, Florida (August 20, 2003) — The annual championship for the world's top drum & bugle corps was highlighted by a strong showing by Yamaha brass & percussion instruments. Groups performing with both Yamaha brass & percussion included defending champion, The Cavaliers – 2nd place with a score of 97.25, The Cadets – 3rd place with a score of 97.1 and the Crossmen – 9th place with a score of 86.9.

Marching Brass
The Cadets (pictured with their prototype YBB-202MS tubas) have placed no lower than 3rd place since switching to Yamaha brass in 2000.
Additionally several groups are using Yamaha percussion including the Madison Scouts – 8th place (89.55), JSU Sprit – 12th place (84.4), Capitol Regiment – 19th place (80.15), Kiwanis Kavaliers – 20th place (78.75), Southwind – 21st place (77.5) and Pioneer 23st place (72.3). Congratulations to the Cadets who won the high percussion award for the THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR.

Brass instruments used by the Cadets, Crossmen & Cavaliers include: Xeno trumpets (8335GS & 8345GS), YFH-6310ZS, YMP-203MS, YBH-301MS & YBB-202MS.
