Melos Brass Selects Yamaha

Melos Brass
The Melos Brass testing their new
Yamahas at R&D Frankfurt
BUENA PARK, CA (December 22, 2003) — The Greek brass ensemble "Melos Brass" recently visited Yamaha's Frankfurt Atelier to pick up some new Yamaha instruments. While they were there, they also had some of their other instruments modified to fit their special requirements. YMCE Export and Nakas (our Greek importer) are supporting this ensemble, and they sent all of their instruments to R&D to be checked and customized together with the musicians. The whole group stayed in Neu Isenberg for two days, allowing them time to become accustomed to their new equipment in addition to leaving Thomas Lubitz and his staff enough time to make the modifications.

The Melos Brass left very happy after the 2 days of trials, and are thoroughly pleased with all of their new and modified instruments.

The Melos Brass ensemble was created in 1989 and Its members perform in various symphony orchestras throughout Greece. Through performances and educational activities Melos has contributed greatly in promoting Brass chamber music. In addition to performing the usual international brass repertoire they also encourage Greek composers to create new chamber music thus contributing to brass repertoire. The Their exciting style and depth of interpretation has resulted in enthusiastic accolades by the public and critics alike.
