Yamaha Creates Ready-to-Run Radio Ads for Clavinova and Disklavier Retailers

ANAHEIM, CA (January 15, 2004) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Piano Division, announces the availability of the "Radio Commercial Construction Kit" for its authorized retailers. The kit, contained on a single CD available at no cost, offers nine different professionally recorded 60-second radio ad spots that dealers can air in their local markets, with space for locally customized information.

"We know our retailers work as hard to bring our pianos to consumers as we do to design and produce them, and this set of professional-quality ads is part of the support they deserve from us," says Jim Levesque, Electronic Keyboard marketing manager, Piano Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "In many markets, the cost of producing a radio ad is more prohibitive than the cost of the airtime, and with this disk we hope many more of our dealers will be able to use this powerful medium."

The spots on the disk include holiday-themed ads and year-round selections, for both the Clavinova digital piano and the Disklavier. A variety of themes are included, including a "high-tech" ad, a "dinner party" scenario and a "wellness" appeal.

Blank segments ranging from five to 17 seconds allow retailers to insert voiceovers with local data about their locations, contact information, sales and events. For those retailers who would like to write their own ads in their entirety, separate music beds are also included on the disk to give a professional sound to every ad.

"A lot of retailers, especially those with experience in advertising, will enjoy adding a personal touch by recording their own voiceovers," he notes. "But for those who don't want to, many radio stations will provide a professional voice talent as part of the advertising buy. This disk really opens up a lot of options for local marketing."
