BUENA PARK, CA (January 22, 2004) — Our Intermediate models features a design based upon our Custom models, and are produced with the same painstaking care.

Oboe
Like our top models, they are handcrafted at a high level by the same experienced artisans who oversee every step in their production. These oboes feature surprisingly accurate intonation and are comfortable and responsive to play.

Their tone characteristics feature a rich spectrum of colors permitting the subtlest musical expression. The keys have been carefully designed for ergonomic comfort as well as a balanced playability.

Our Intermediate series oboes offer three different choices of body material to best suit the individual need any one particular musician. All oboes incorporate steel needle springs, French taper pivot screws, stainless steel screws, and silver-plated/nickel-silver keys with the modified conservatory system.

The YOB-410 is made from ABS resin plastic, which provides excellent durability and resistance to damage. The YOB-411 is made from the finest grain, Grenadilla wood for optimum tone quality and stability. The YOB-411P combines both the ABS resin upper joint and the Grenadilla wood lower joint and bell to provide a professional sound and feel while providing protection and maturity.

The YOB-441, with its new bore design, incorporates vertical integration similar to that of the YOB-841 and is also available in ABS resin (YOB-441A), Grenadilla wood (YOB-441), or incorporates both (YOB-441P).
