Yamaha and West LA Music "Experience" a Day of Guitars

BUENA PARK, CA (June 4, 2004) — Yamaha Guitars and West LA Music got together for the "Yamaha Guitar Experience" at the dealer's Santa Monica Boulevard location on May 22 with live performances, autograph sessions, in-store specials and drawings for a Yamaha AES620 electric guitar and two Magicstomp guitar effects pedals.

The day-long event gave the Yamaha staff a chance to show off current, new, pre-production and dream model guitars, and also welcomed West LA Music into Yamaha's "Sapphire Dealer" network.

Appearances and guest performers included: Michael Anthony (Van Halen), Chris Poland (OHM), Space and Lats (Memento), Mike Sarkysian (Spineshank), Meegs Rascon (Pinata), Steve Mazur (Our Lady Peace), Frank Gambale and bassists Nathan East and Billy Sheehan.

"The 'Experience' is not only a great event for one of our top dealers," said Joseph Brasler, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. "It also gives the customer a real hands-on look at our products, and the artists who are using – and in some cases – have helped develop them."
