Clavinova Hits a Hole in One With Jim and Amy Fazio
BUENA PARK, CA (July 2, 2004) Jim Fazio is one of the hottest golf course architects in the world. Since retiring as a pro golfer, he has designed notable courses all over the world, from La Querce in Rome (a former World Cup venue) to El Diablo Golf and Country Club and Donald Trump's Trump International Golf Club in Florida. Fazio travels frequently for his work, and when his wife, Amy, isn't out on the links herself, she thoroughly enjoys her new Clavinova CVP210 digital piano.
Other Fazio family members enjoy it, too. "When my one-year-old grandson comes to visit, he runs in and drags me over to the Clavinova," says Amy. "I've taped music for him, and we dance around the room. With the microphone and karaoke, I can sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks or Popeye. And, when my four sisters come to visit with all the kids, we just grab the babies and run around the room and dance to the "Tarantella," Alexander's Ragtime Band, Dixieland, marching songs. It's a blast!"
"You don't have to be an accomplished pianist to enjoy a Clavinova; that's a big factor for me," she adds. "I enjoy playing classical music, gospel, Italian songs, and now I want to learn to read music, use more of the features and enhance my skills go further." Fazio, who briefly took piano lessons as a child and is largely self-taught, really values her in-store private and group lessons with Karen Wilkerson at Kretzer Piano in West Palm Beach. "Every time I go there, I get really happy for the whole day. Not like with golf," she says, speaking of her other passion. "After a day on the golf course, sometimes I go home happy; sometimes I'm miserable. When I go to Kretzer, it's always fun for me."
