Yamaha Redesigns Student Horns

French Horn Case
Yamaha YHR-314II
BUENA PARK, CA (December 3, 2004) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, has redesigned its popular student horns for improved playability and ease of use.

The new horns, the YHR-314II and YHR-322II, feature redesigned rotors for faster action, strengthened tuning slide bracing and a new mouthpiece receiver. Players can expect the same tonal colors and resonance currently heard in earlier versions, but will see a great increase in speed and flexibility.

The newly-designed case is made of durable, lightweight ABS resin, and includes a shoulder strap that makes it lighter and easier for young musicians to carry.

"The demand for Yamaha's student horns and requests from dealers for a more durable case were instrumental in the company's decision to make these upgrades," says Kurt Witt, Marketing Manager, Winds, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division. "We know the new case will certainly add an extra level of comfort for students carrying their instruments."

The YHR-314II and YHR-322II are currently available.
