High Tech Hits Home With the Yamaha DGX505

BUENA PARK, CA (December 17, 2004) — The Yamaha DGX505 portable keyboard will brighten this holiday season – and many seasons to come – with features and functions designed to create and enjoy music.

As the top of the line in Yamaha's Portable Grand series, the DGX505 comes complete with 88 weighted piano-style keys, a high resolution stereo piano sample, SmartMedia storage, USB computer connectivity, a large bitmapped LCD screen capable of displaying notation and song lyrics, a pitch bend wheel and a six-track sequencer that records with two button pushes. Wood side panels and a matching wooden stand will blend into virtually any interior environment.

The DGX505 has a large selection of onboard songs (including selections of the best and most popular of the day), and some of the best instrumental sounds available, including Yamaha's XG-lite/GM voices, a selection of their ultra realistic "Cool," "Live" and "Warm" voices. A separate PC Button™ makes it simple and easy to connect to your computer. To aid in that connection, the new DGX series of Yamaha keyboards also feature USB MIDI connections for a true "plug-and-play" computer interface.

For those interested in learning to play, the upgraded, built-in Yamaha Education Suite 4™ teaching system includes exercises, interactive lessons, a grading system and 100 songs on which to practice and learn. Also included is the intuitive Easy Song Arranger, the Performance Assistant feature and more.
