Guitars and Basses Ride On Air with Yamaha GSAC Straps

BUENA PARK, Calif. (November 18, 2005) — Guitar and bass players can find relief from conventional straps with the Yamaha GSAC Series—the first strap to apply air cell core technology for the ultimate in comfort and strength.

The GSAC is constructed of heavy-duty reinforced Lycra, and is fully adjustable from 45" to 52" lengths. Straps are now available in 3" and new 2" wide designs, in Black, Red or Grey. Woven construction ensures that the strap will lie smoothly on the shoulder, move easily on clothing or skin, and wick away moisture.

Multiple, individual encased air cells on the underside of the strap—the same technology used to carry professional photography and video equipment—offer flexibility and cushioning for the heaviest instruments. Each air cell is completely separate from its adjoining cells, making certain that the strap remains fully functional in the event that a single cell becomes punctured.

"After playing for hours on end, your instrument doesn't get any lighter," says Shawna von Behren, marketing manager, Yamaha Accessory Products. "Air has the ideal physical properties for absorbing impact and shock, and with the GSAC, players can find relief. It's not only comfortable and strong, but also features a stylish, high-tech look."
