BUENA PARK, CA (March 11, 2005) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, recently introduced a line of redesigned professional trombones. The line features four models, all of which are perfect for professional trombone players as well as college level musicians.

The new models all feature 8.5-in. yellow brass bells and gold epoxy lacquer. The YSL-610 Professional Trombone replaces the YSL-681G, and features a .547-in. bore. The YSL-620 Professional Bb/F Trombone replaces the YSL-684G and features a .547-in. bore and an f attachment with mechanical linkage. The YSL-630 Professional Trombone, a replacement for the YSL-683G, comes with a .525-in. bore. The YSL-640 replaces the YSL-682G Professional Bb/F Trombone and features a .525-in. bore and an f attachment with mechanical linkage.

All instruments come with an SLC-68 case and L48 mouthpiece. Narrow slides enable faster playing, while the newly designed ABS formed case decreases carrying weight and adds protection. The instruments are all available now.

“Our redesign of these trombones, as well as the lower price point and form-fitting case, is sure to please many professional and college level musicians,” states Kurt Witt, Marketing Manager, Winds, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division. “Our customers know we bring constant innovation even to our time-tested products, and this updated trombone line is the latest example.”
