Yamaha Offers New "You Are The Artist" Singles

BUENA PARK, CA (April 8, 2005) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Piano Division, today announced the expansion of the popular “You Are the Artist” series, which lets players at a variety of skill levels play the music of their favorite stars. Each title features sheet music and a diskette of MIDI files playable on all Yamaha XG-compatible instruments, including the Clavinova and Disklavier.

The new releases include “Don’t Know Why” (Norah Jones), “Through the Years” (Kenny Rogers), “Take My Breath Away” (Top Gun soundtrack), “Tears in Heaven” (Eric Clapton), “What a Wonderful World” (Louis Armstrong), “Memory” (Cats) and the theme to the motion picture Forrest Gump. New Beatles releases include “And I Love Her,” “In My Life,” “Imagine” and “Hey Jude.”

With the release of the new "You Are the Artist" title, Norah Jones fans can now play along with her smash hit "Don't Know Why."
“This interactive series enables users to play the music of their favorite artists while enjoying complete instrumental accompaniment,” says Jim Levesque, Clavinova Marketing Manager. “Whether it’s just for fun or as an educational supplement, users can choose among elementary and intermediate-level piano arrangements for many favorite songs.”

The new releases join the current roster of popular favorites, which encompasses a wide range of genres. Current Broadway titles include “And All That Jazz” and “All I Ask of You.” Disney titles include “Beauty and the Beast” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” The series’ pop collection features “Every Breath You Take,” “Yesterday” and Can’t Help Falling In Love,” while “Ave Maria,” “Canon in D,” “O Holy Night” and “Moonlight Sonata” round out the series’ classical offerings.
