BUENA PARK, CA — Several lucky attendees got more than a sneak preview of the new Installation Series Loudspeakers when they stopped by the Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems demo room at NSCA Expo 2005 on March 10: three became winners of the latest digital mixing products from Yamaha.

Doug Stancil, Trasher Design Group, Kennesau, Georgia, captured first prize, winning a Yamaha 02R96V2. Kelly Carter, Hames Pro, Gaffney, S.C., took second, winning a DM1000V2, while Tom Levno, National Teleconsultants Inc. of Glendale, Calif., took third, winning an 01V96V2.

The winners were chosen in a random drawing of entries submitted during the demo, and were announced by Larry Italia, general manager, Yamaha Corporation of America, Commercial Audio Systems Division.

"This contest was our way of saying 'thank you' to the representatives of the pro audio and system integrations industries who not only came to see the debut of the Installation Series, but who have also supported our product line through the years," said Italia.

The Yamaha Installation Series includes 19 models with seamlessly integrated enclosures, hardware, components and crossover networks which have been engineered to meet the requirements of the medium-to-large scale touring and integration markets.

The product line was conceived and developed through a unique collaboration between two premier companies and names in the fields of sound reinforcement and cabinet design, Audio Composite Engineering's respected acoustic engineer Michael Adams and legendary speaker engineer, Akira Nakamura, of Yamaha Japan.
