Yamaha Releases "Here I Am To Worship" CD/Midi Disk Set for Clavinova

BUENA PARK, CA (October 7, 2005) — Yamaha Corporation of America, Piano Division, today announced the release of Here I Am To Worship, a new audio CD/MIDI disk combination set for the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-300 Series of digital pianos.

Recorded entirely on a Clavinova CVP-309, the full-length audio CD contains 12 inspirational favorites including "Be Thou My Vision" and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" along with contemporary classics "Open The Eyes Of My Heart," "Shout to the Lord," "Awesome God" and "Heart of Worship." Popular Christian songwriter Scott Krippayne also contributes a special CD bonus track, "I'm Not Cool," from his release, All of Me. A MIDI disk containing identical song titles is included as a companion to the CD. Once inserted into the drive of a Clavinova CVP-300, this disk recreates performances on the instrument, exactly as they were recorded on the CD.

"Music serves a vital role in worship, and the right musical instrument can make a tremendous difference in church services," says Jim Levesque, Electronic Keyboard Marketing Manager. "This new CD offers church music directors upbeat, inspirational pop music that showcases how the Clavinova is uniquely suited to worship services. Whether for traditional, contemporary, or blended styles," Levesque continues, "the Clavinova is the ideal instrument for the 21st century church musician."

The Clavinova CVP-300 Series offers a host of exciting features useful in all types of worship settings. Using the instrument's new built-in disk drive and easy-to-operate sequencer, music and choir directors can record the accompaniment for the upcoming week's music schedule, enabling choir members and cantors to rehearse their parts independently at their leisure.

Music directors that would like to incorporate worship songs similar to those featured on the Here I Am to Worship CD, can use the Music Finder feature on the CVP-300 to select from an on-screen list of customized registrations for over 600 hymns and popular worship song titles that are compatible with the Maranatha! "Praise Hymns & Choruses (Green Book)" and "The Praise & Worship Fake Book," from Hal Leonard Publishing.

"This outstanding CD underscores Yamaha's commitment to equip worship leaders and musicians with the very best in music technology products," says Mike Overlin, Manager of Worship Resources, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Our goal is to support worship leaders in enhancing their services – by providing outstanding training and resources, and by helping them make wise purchasing decisions."

The CVP-300 series is also ideal for worship services because it houses a variety of tonal resources, including a wealth of piano, pipe organ, string and choir sounds. All of these life-like sounds can be reproduced without the need for tuning or routine maintenance, saving time and eliminating unnecessary expenses.

With the built-in Transpose feature, music directors can now play any live or recorded music in keys of their choice. If a recorded performance is too fast for a choir, the Clavinova CVP-300's Tempo feature can be used to slow it down. This function is perfect for isolating difficult sections of musical arrangements so that they are easier for singers and musicians to learn.

The Clavinova also includes a microphone input to add vocals with reverb and digital effects into its self-contained sound system, which can then be connected to a larger PA system.

For smaller congregations, the CVP-300's pre-programmed, contemporary worship music styles can produce guitar, bass, drum and other instrumental tracks that mask the absence of actual players, creating a full, diverse sound.

A five-minute sampler CD of "Here I Am To Worship" is available from local Yamaha Clavinova digital piano dealers.
