Yamaha Unveils Artist Model Trumpet in New York City
YTR-9335NYS Artist Model Bb Trumpet |
The YTR-9445NYS and YTR-9335NYS were designed especially for use by top orchestral, classical, jazz and commercial performance professionals. Manufactured and designed to the highest quality standards, the instruments feature the combined input of Yamaha Brass Designer Bob Malone and Cleveland Orchestra trumpet Robert Sullivan. The French bead bell rim with low dome wire improves the sound projection from the bell due to the refined, sharper bell rim edge. It also utilizes the MC2NY, based on Malone's classic leadpipe designs.
“These trumpets are a bold statement in trumpet design, drawing upon the best of old-world design and modern manufacturing techniques,” states Kurt Witt, Marketing Manager, Winds, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division.
The YTR-9445NYS and YTR-9335NYS are currently available.
Yamaha’s silver-plated YTR-9335CHS Artist Model Bb Trumpet features the MB1 “Malone” leadpipe, a side seam variable-thickness bell and a medium large bore size perfect for both jazz and classical performance.
The instrument was developed with John Hagstrom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as a companion to the YTR-9445CHS Artist Model C Trumpet, which was introduced to great acclaim last year.
Both trumpet pairs enable musicians to experience the same response and feel from both horns, without the feeling that they are “switching” between a Bb and C trumpet.
The YTR-9335CHS will be available in April.
