Point of Grace Tours With Clavinova CVP-309PE

BUENA PARK, CA (December 30, 2005) — Platinum-selling Christian singing group Point of Grace has embarked on a holiday-themed Winter Wonderland tour, featuring special guest keyboard artist John David Webster accompanying the vocal quartet on a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-309PE digital piano. The ensemble was introduced to the instrument earlier this year during their highly successful “I Choose You” tour with accomplished singer/songwriter and Yamaha artist Scott Krippayne.

“The Clavinova not only sounded great, but it looked terrific as well. It added so much to the tour,” raves Point of Grace vocalist Shelly Breen. “We used it for solos and for audience carols. It was very elegant, but not as intrusive as a grand piano. It was perfect.”

An integral part of the Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith Christmas tours for several years, the Grammy nominated, Dove Award-winning singers have been performing new signature holiday songs all their own. As the much-anticipated follow up to 1999’s A Christmas Story, the current tour features favorite songs from the new Winter Wonderland CD, as well as a live choir at each tour date.

The fun-filled show takes a musical journey into the whimsical world of Santa, Frosty and Rudolph, as well as sacred music that explores the true meaning of Christmas. Produced by Brown Bannister (who has worked with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith), with vocal arrangements by Tim Davis, Michael Mellet and orchestral arrangements by Carl Marsh, Winter Wonderland is an eclectic blend of Christmas melodies set in bold, memorable backdrops. With 10 holiday songs showcasing the group’s intricate harmonies, both the CD and the live show include memorable versions of such classics as “Jingle Bells,” as well as a “Santa Medley” including “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman.”
