Yamaha Releases "How To Enhance Your Worship Service" Informational DVD for Clavinova

BUENA PARK, Calif. (January 13, 2006) — Yamaha Corporation of America today announced the release of How to Enhance Your Worship Service, a new informational DVD for the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-300 Series of digital pianos.

How to Enhance Your Worship Service
On the new disk, Yamaha product specialist and noted musician Sue Downs guides viewers through a comprehensive tour of the instrument, illuminating the myriad advantages the Clavinova offers to worship leaders and musicians of all styles, whether traditional, contemporary or blended.

“Sue Downs draws on her extensive background as a church musician and her relaxed, friendly style makes this DVD thoroughly informative and enjoyable,” states Jim Levesque, Electronic Keyboard Marketing Manager. “Both traditional and contemporary worship styles will be served masterfully by this fine instrument.”

The outstanding presentation is capped off with an exciting performance by singer/songwriter and Yamaha artist Scott Krippayne, who has written dozens of hit songs for artists like Point of Grace, Avalon and Sandi Patty.

“This outstanding DVD is yet another example of how Yamaha works to serve the needs of worship leaders and musicians and to help them make the most of their resources,” says Mike Overlin, Manager of Worship Resources, Yamaha Institutional and Commercial Services. “Whether for traditional, contemporary, or blended music styles, the Clavinova offers the ideal solution for today’s churches.”

Traditional worship leaders will welcome the CVP-300’s high-quality piano voice and realistic touch, as well as authentic pipe organ voicing that spans the sonic spectrum from delicate Chapel Organ to magnificent Cathedral Organ.

Contemporary worship leaders will be sure to appreciate the state-of-the-art voices available, from sophisticated MIDI Grand textures to screaming Gospel Organ – including programmable drawbars. For smaller congregations, the CVP-300’s pre-programmed, contemporary worship music styles can produce guitar, bass, drum and other instrumental tracks that mask the absence of actual players, creating a full, diverse sound.

The Clavinova CVP-300 offers advanced functionality, including registration menus that enable users to plan and save settings for an entire worship service along with recording features that make it easy to prepare accompaniments in advance. The CVP-300 Series also offers the ability to transpose accompaniments on the spot to accommodate the needs of vocal soloists.

In addition, the CVP can conveniently be moved. With a built-in sound system, the digital piano can also be moved to an auxiliary room – or even outdoors – for special occasions, while its new “Church Music Finder” puts sound settings for hundreds of worship songs at your fingertips.

The new DVD is a complement to Here I Am to Worship, a CD/MIDI Disk Set & Sampler CD released in late 2005. This collection of inspirational selections showcases the full range of possibilities that lie within the CVP300 Series. Produced by Yamaha artist Phillip Keveren, it also features the musical talents of Brent Mills, Jason Nyberg and Scott Krippayne.
