Five Years On Top: Yamaha Disklavier Once Again Wins "Product Of The Year" In Mmr Dealers' Choice Awards

MMR Award
BUENA PARK, Calif. (January 20, 2006) — The entire Yamaha Disklavier line, led by the Wi-Fi-enabled Disklavier Mark IV, has broken new ground with a fifth consecutive win as "Product of the Year" in the 12th annual Dealers' Choice Awards hosted by Musical Merchandise Review (MMR) magazine.

No other product line has achieved this distinction as many as four times in a row. The prestigious industry magazine conducts the annual award program by canvassing thousands of music products' retailers by fax, e-mail and publication insertions.

"We continually strive to sustain – and surpass – the outstanding quality our customers have come to expect," says Paul Calvin, general manager, Piano Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "This honor, determined by the individual votes of the retailers we work so hard to serve, is extremely gratifying, and a tribute to everyone at Yamaha who makes the Disklavier a reality."

The Yamaha Disklavier Mark IV builds upon the sophistication of previous generations of the award-winning line of Yamaha performance-reproducing pianos by adding a variety of high-tech features. Its two controllers, one a full-screen color tablet and the other a pocket-size remote, can operate its wide-ranging functions from anywhere in a user's home.
