NSCA 2006 to Swing With Brian Setzer Orchestra

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. will sponsor the kick-off of this year's NSCA Expo with a performance by the Brian Setzer Orchestra at the opening night ExpoJam!, March 15, at 8:00 pm, immediately following the Contractor Caper. The show will be held at the Stardust Pavilion in the Stardust Hotel and is open to those with proper NSCA Expo attendee credentials.

Setzer
Rockabilly guitar meets classic big band swing. Brian Setzer is set to headline this year's ExpoJam!
"The Brian Setzer Orchestra is the perfect band to play at NSCA ExpoJam!, and our products will provide the ideal listening environment," states Larry Italia, vice president and general Manager. "We're pleased that Brian and his band are available to entertain the masses at the ExpoJam!"

"Like pouring gasoline on a fire" is how Brian Setzer describes his 1998 double-platinum GRAMMY®-winning and Billboard Top 10 "The Dirty Boogie." Now, some eight years later, the success of the true, 17-piece big band fronted by an electric guitar is simple, according to Setzer. "This isn't like punk rock, where anyone could pick up a guitar and play loud. The level of musicianship required is pretty high. What made it (success) happen is that we're original. This is American music, it's ingrained in us but we took it in a new direction."

Chuck Wilson, Executive Director of NSCA, states, "We appreciate Yamaha's willingness to arrange for the performance of the Brian Setzer Orchestra and again co-sponsor the ExpoJam! We know that history will repeat itself with yet another fantastic performance that attendees are sure to remember."
