Paiste is one of the largest, most respected cymbal and gong manufacturers in the world, with production facilities in Switzerland and Germany. Paiste America is located in Brea, Calif.

Yamaha will sell the Paiste line exclusively through its independent retailers, while Paiste will continue to service national accounts as well as market and manage the Paiste brand throughout the U.S. The majority of the products Yamaha distributes will ship from its Joliet, Ill. warehouse, which is within three shipping days of most U.S. locations.

"This is a perfect strategic fit for two quality brands that focus on providing excellent products and service to retailers and consumers," says Tom Sumner, vice president and general manager, Pro Audio & Combo Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Under this new arrangement, Paiste will be able to leverage the reach and expertise of Yamaha's world-class team of district managers. From Yamaha's perspective, adding such well-respected products to our lineup will improve our ability to offer a complete solution to drum shops and other combo retailers."

"Paiste is extremely pleased about the new partnership with Yamaha Corporation of America," says Erik Paiste, President of Paiste America, Inc. "Our growing and valued international cooperation thus takes on a new and important dimension. We are confident that Paiste America, Inc. and Yamaha Corporation of America will be very successful in furthering Paiste's market share in the U.S."
