Renowned Pianist Vladimir Krainev To Conduct Master Class At Yamaha Artist Services
Acclaimed Pianist and Music Educator Vladimir Krainev |
After winning first prizes at international competitions in Lisbon, Portugal, Leeds, England and especially after his brilliant victory at the Fourth Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow in 1970 his career as a pianist began.
Krainev is currently a professor at the Higher School of Music and Theatre in Hanover, Germany, where 29 young pianists from Russia, France, Germany, China, Korea and other countries study in his class.
"We're delighted to have a musician and educator of Mr. Krainev's stature present a master class at our facility," says Stan Zielinski, Director of Yamaha Artist Services. "His visit underscores how Yamaha Artist Services continues to attract the world's most elite musicians to share their talents through performance and by helping to shape the next generation of pianistic talent."
For many years, he has presented "Vladimir Krainev Invites ," a concert series at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. A jury member of numerous piano competitions, Krainev served as chair the piano jury of the XII Tchaikovsky International Competition in 2002.
In 1994, he established the Vladimir Krainev International Fund for Young Pianists.
