In The Zone: Tommy Aldridge Holds California Clinic

COTATI, Calif. – Yamaha Drum artist Tommy Aldridge worked up a sweat at his Zone Music clinic, held on April 8.

Aldridge
Tommy Aldridge jammed at Zone Music's Drum Festival.
In addition to performing for an hour, Aldridge offered tips on double-bass technique, stressed the importance of practicing with a metronome and presented a primer on ways to enhance creativity and showmanship. He also signed autographs and fielded questions from the large crowd.

Giveways included Yamaha Gear apparel and a signed Paiste cymbal used at the clinic. Attendees received an entry form for the opportunity to enter a drawing and win a Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage drum set.

A pioneer in employing double-bass drum patterns, Aldridge first made his mark with Black Oak Arkansas. He has also performed and recorded with Pat Travers, Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne and Whitesnake.
