BUENA PARK, Calif. — Yamaha introduces several upgrades to its Artiste, Virtuoso, and Signature keyboard bags, including design and cosmetic improvements, large accessory pockets, and increased dimensions to fit most applicable keyboards. The Signature Series now features four bags that are no longer model-specific, offering new convenience along with quality.

"These upgrades simplify our product offering and make it possible for keyboard players to come to Yamaha as a one-stop shop for keyboard bags, no matter which manufacturer's keyboard is protected inside," says Nic Chaffee, product manager, Accessory Products, Pro Audio & Combo Division.

The inclusion of Yamaha's Air Cell technology shoulder straps as part of the Virtuoso and Signature lines offers a comfort level unmatched by any other bag on the market.

"The high, luggage-grade quality of Yamaha keyboard bags is well-respected in the industry," says Chaffee. "Given the success of our Air Cell guitar straps, we can now provide a new avenue for this technology by including them on our higher-end models. This year's line confirms our commitment to providing the industry and our customers with quality support products."

Yamaha has also boosted the quality of its keyboard stands. The YKA7500 X-style stand features a spring-action hand lever for easy adjustment to six different playing heights and rounded feet for increased stability. Telescoping arms and grips hold any keyboard securely in place. The YKT7500 offers a tier for mounting a second keyboard-the first time Yamaha has offered this feature. The PKBZ1, which continues to be width-adjustable, improves on the YZ stand and is now adjustable by height.

Other accessories include Survival Kit 3, which provides everything players need for their digital pianos. The BB1, a black wooden bench, also comes with a learn-to-play piano method book, an easy piano song book, and staff paper.

Yamaha's line of stretch dust covers includes the KDC6176, which fits most 61- and 76-note keyboards, and the KDC8811 for most 88-note keyboards. Covers are packaged individually in brushed-aluminum collector tins.

"Perhaps our most notable improvement is with the dust covers," says Chaffee. "We've designed two models to fit all current Yamaha keyboards, synthesizers, and digital pianos-in addition to most competitive products as well-where previously, six were required."
