Marvin Stamm plays the trumpet
Marvin Stamm has been praised for both the art and the craft of trumpet playing. Discovered by Stan Kenton while attending North Texas State University, he joined Kenton's orchestra as his jazz trumpet soloist and recorded five albums with them. He has toured worldwide with Woody Herman and performed with Frank Sinatra, Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, the Duke Pearson Big Band and the Benny Goodman Sextet, among others. Some of the Jazz artists with whom he has recorded include Bill Evans, Quincy Jones, Lena Horne and George Benson among others. Currently, Stamm's activities include performing as a soloist and touring with his jazz quartet or in duo with pianist Bill Mays.
Brian Lynch plays the trumpet
Brian Lynch has recorded 12 CDs as a leader and well over 100 recordings as a sideman. He is an accomplished composer and arranger as well as an acclaimed educator and clinician. A graduate of two of the Jazz world’s most important finishing schools, The Horace Silver Quintet and Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, he now records and tours the world as a bandleader in his own right, besides being an integral part of the groups of alto legend Phil Woods and Latin master Eddie Palmieri, both fellow Yamaha artists.
