BUENA PARK, Calif. — Six-year-old Dylan Helbing, was the lucky winner of a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano at the Fifth Annual Clavinova Music Festival, held in early November at Fry's Westport-Fairfield Piano in Danbury, Conn. Dylan studies piano at the Music Learning Center, in Danbury, under the instruction of Stephanie Biello.

During the past four years, more than 40 area teachers have introduced nearly 500 student musicians and composers to the latest in music technology, the Yamaha Clavinova digital piano. Piano students of all ages have the chance to utilize specialized software to assist in the development of their musicianship, as well as to present original compositions as a fully orchestrated arrangement.

The Clavinova CVP-300 Series of digital pianos offers the sound and feel of a grand piano with no tuning or maintenance required. Onboard software lets kids – and adults – make music the very first time they take to the piano, and Yamaha's innovative “Follow Lights” system can actually guide new players along the keyboard note for note. Its innovative Internet Direct Connection feature enables users to access the Internet from the instrument's LCD display and download their favorite song files and styles directly to the keyboard – without the use of a computer.
