Ideal for beginning musicians, each student cello features a fully handcarved spruce top, maple back and sides and is finished with a rich oil varnish for best tonal qualities. The new instruments include many of the same features as the AVC4-44S, and come with a padded Cordura cover and Brazilwood bow with horsehair. In addition, the instruments are covered under Yamaha's Five-Year Limited Warranty.

"These student cellos expand the Yamaha acoustic product lineup, adding to the previously released AV5 fractional sized violins, and confirming Yamaha's commitment to continually provide quality instruments for all musicians," states Ken Dattmore, Yamaha Strings Marketing Manager.

The cellos will be available February 2007.
