Distinguished Pianist Gila Goldstein Performs Piano Recital at Yamaha Artist Services, Inc.

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Celebrated classical pianist Gila Goldstein will perform in a special piano recital at Yamaha Artist Services, Inc. on Monday, February 26 at 8 p.m. The program will include: Bach: Partita No. 5 in G Major; Liszt: Two Transcriptions of Schubert's songs: Wohin (Where) and Standchen (Serenade); Prokofiev: Sonata No. 3 in A minor, Op. 28 "From Old Notebooks"; Yedidia: Selections from 'Dances of Earth, Wind & Fire'; and Schumann: Carnaval, Op. 9.

Goldstein has performed as a solo artist and collaborative pianist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Southeast Asia, Europe and Israel in such acclaimed venues as New York's Merken Concert Hall, Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center, San Francisco's Old First Church, Chicago's Symphony Hall, Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall, Mexico City's Pallacio de Bellas Artes, Manila's Opufest International Piano Festival, Paris' Musee de Louvre, Jerusalem's Henry Crown Hall and the Tel Aviv Museum.

A Board member of the American Liszt Society (ALS) and the Founder-President of its NY/NJ Chapter since 1992, she is a frequent guest performer at the ALS annual festivals and at the Great Romantics International Festival in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada).

Goldstein has recorded two volumes of music, including Israeli composer Paul Ben-Haim's entire piano works and three chamber works on the Centaur label titled Piano Works of Paul Ben-Haim (2001) and Paul Ben-Haim, Volume 2: Piano and Chamber Works (2005). Her Classical Portrait (2005) CD is currently available on CDBaby.com.

Gila Goldstein holds a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from Tel-Aviv University's Academy of Music.
