"The Bluecoats take a lot of pride in their equipment and have used the utmost care to keep it "'like new,'" adds Michael McIntosh, The Bluecoats Percussion Designer. "Keeping the instruments covered 24/7, having the finish out of the sun, daily maintenance and traveling safely and securely all add up to some well-maintained, great sounding Yamaha instruments."
The Bluecoats made their drum corps debut in 1974 as a program of the Police Boys Club in Canton, Ohio. They are the first corps from Ohio to make Drum Corps International finals, and have placed in the elite top 12 since 1987. The Bluecoats are known for their crowd-pleasing, jazz themed shows. Yamaha is proud to be a part of their growing success as they continue to place higher every year.
This one-of-a-kind drumline will be available in early June to the first interested party. The entire battery, which consists of ten (10) MTS-9214 snare drums, four (4) multi-tom sextets (6", 6", 10", 12", 13", 14"), and five (5) bass drums, one each of 18", 20", 24", 28", and 30," is available as a complete set only. Carriers are not included, but can be purchased separately at dealer-net prices. Yamaha will supply new Remo drumheads for the entire line, and will honor the two-year, hoop-to-feet warranty.
This special offer is only available on a first-come, first-served basis.
