Clavinova the Top Choice for Jason Nyberg
BUENA PARK, Calif. Jason Nyberg, a sought-after pianist, composer and music programmer, used his Clavinova CVP-300 Series digital piano to create the music for the movie trailer of the recently-released Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore flick, "Because I Said So".
With his Clavinova, Nyberg has composed the music that powers many Hollywood movie trailers and credits the piano's ease-of-use, comfort of touch and multitude of authentic sounds with helping him set the mood for virtually any genre of film. In fact, Nyberg's music has been used in more than 50 trailers and TV spots for such Hollywood hits as "Home on the Range,""Mona Lisa Smile", "Anna & The King," "American Pie," "Old School," "Happily N'ever After," "Kicking & Screaming," "Meet Joe Black" and "Dumb and Dumberer". He also used the Clavinova in his original score for the feature film "Breaking Dawn."
"The Clavinova's versatility works well with whatever style of music I may be composing," says Nyberg. "The movie trailer often sets the pace for the audiences' expectations. Whether it's a trailer for a slapstick comedy, sci-fi thriller, or epic drama, I am able to compose rich, vibrant sounds that are realistic and fitting for the demands of the film."
Nyberg also uses the Clavinova as a master keyboard, because of its control and articulation, to mix different sounds. With the keyboard's MIDI features, he can easily connect to his computer where he stores a vast library of orchestral voices. And Nyberg notes that the CVP-300's flexibility with multi-track recording is particularly useful as he can quickly lay down tracks whenever the moment to create strikes and store them.
"As a pianist, it's natural to be skeptical about a keyboard meeting the requirements for sounds and touch, but with the Clavinova, it's never been an issue," says Nyberg. "In fact, the instrument has exceeded my every expectation."
