Yamaha, Disneyland® Resort Unveil Magic Music Podcasts

BUENA PARK, Calif. – August 1, 2007 marks the debut of a new Yamaha Band & Orchestral podcast highlighting the Disneyland® Magic Music Days program. The podcast features interviews with directors, students and staff who share their own special experiences about the program.

This unique program gives students from across the country an opportunity to record Disney tracks in a studio environment with the assistance of a professional clinician. Students receive a DVD recording of their session, perform with their school ensemble at the Disneyland® Resort and enjoy a day of attractions and entertainment. Whether first-time guests or repeat participants, the Magic Music Days program provides young musicians with inspirational musical tools, educational activities and everlasting memories.

A second podcast will launch on August 15, and profile the musicians performing daily at the Disneyland® Resort. This episode includes extensive interviews with Disneyland® cast members, who perform and depend on Yamaha equipment every day, sharing their musical journeys and stories of making music in the parks. Artists include Steve Sable, Technical Director at the state-of-the-art Hyperion Theatre inside Disney's California Adventure® Park; Michael Pollack, a Main Street, U.S.A. ragtime pianist; Dr. Ron McCurdy, Director, Disney's All-American College Band presented by Yamaha; and members of the famous Disneyland® Band and Disneyland® Resort All-American College Band presented by Yamaha.
