BUENA PARK, Calif. — Country music superstar and Yamaha Drum Artist Eddie Bayers won an unprecedented 13th Drummer of the Year award at the 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards. Of his 13 wins, 11 have been consecutive, a feat that no country musician will ever be able to accomplish again due to a recent rule change that limits an artist to winning two years in a row, with a year of ineligibility in-between.

Bayers has played on hundreds of gold and platinum albums with top artists, including Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Steve Winwood, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger and Trisha Yearwood. He currently performs on a Yamaha Absolute Birch drum set.

"After I put Yamaha Drums to the test in a recording and live environment, I found there was no choice but to endorse them if I wanted to be true to my musicality," said Bayers. "In my business, it's about being at the top of your creating and performing game."
