The Daves Have It: Ohio Rocker Wins Dave Navarro Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar

BUENA PARK, Calif. — There could hardly be a more perfect person to win a Dave Navarro Signature acoustic-electric guitar than David Harris of Columbus, Ohio. Harris, the guitarist for Lovesick Radio, has long been a fan of Navarro and plans to take the new guitar with him when his band conducts a mini-tour in Japan and South Korea during August.

Navarro gave away and signed one of his sleek white guitars on his Web-based show, Dave Navarro's Spread Entertainment LIVE, an avant garde Internet talk show that airs on www.ManiaTV.com every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

"I dig this guitar so much," said Harris. "It plays great and sounds great on stage. Dave Navarro has been a huge influence on my playing, as well as the way I use the Internet to promote my band."

Navarro designed the LLX6 DN, his white Signature guitar with black accents, to reflect his iconoclastic style. The handcrafted model includes his personal unicorn logo adorning the headstock. The electronics faithfully reproduce the guitar's acoustic resonance, but it also sounds great unplugged.

Navarro helped change the course of alternative rock during his stints in the groundbreaking groups Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. From his supergroup cover band Camp Freddy to his latest project The Panic Channel, one thing has remained constant: everything he touches becomes legendary, including the LLX6 DN.
