The Best Gets Better: Yamaha Upgrades Drum Hardware

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Yamaha Drums will introduce its durable and functional 600 and 700 series hardware at Winter NAMM 2008. Improvements include a new hinged boom clamp which holds the boom more securely. Yamaha has also reintroduced its popular vertical tilter and reinforced key stress points in the leg assembly. Both the 600 and 700 series snare drum stands feature infinite angle adjustment for the snare basket, a great feature for drummers who appreciate the ability to fine tune their kit's setup.

"We crafted some new molds and introduced several design changes," said David Jewell, marketing manager, Yamaha Drums, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "These improvements will enhance our hardware's legendary status."

Yamaha's 600 Series and 700 Series Drum Hardware is expected to ship in January 2008 and will be standard on all new Stage Custom Birch and Tour Custom drum sets.
