Yamaha will continue its role as exclusive percussion sponsor for the American Drum Line Association's 26th season.
ADLA has dedicated the past 25 years to educating and supporting students interested in percussion and has developed a reputation as one of the most successful drum line associations in the country. With over 120 member drum lines representing approximately 2,000 young musicians and performers throughout Southern California, ADLA continues to inspire, teach and bring entertainment to thousands of audiences throughout the year.

"It is very reassuring to see an organization that is committed to music education have longevity. Having participated in this activity before, I know the time, effort and commitment it takes to participate," said Troy Wollwage, Marketing Manager, Yamaha Percussion, who also participated in the circuit in the mid 1980's when ADLA was first getting started. "Having the strength to keep ADLA alive and drumming after 25 years is a testament to the ADLA staff and all band directors, percussion instructors, parents and students. I would estimate that well over 65,000 students have been able to be engaged in music during this time. What a remarkable accomplishment!"

In 2008, ADLA will present seven regular season shows all over Southern California. As a sponsor, Yamaha will be providing awards to the ADLA Championships in late April, taking place at Santiago High School in Corona, Calif. During the extravagant two-day Championship weekend, Yamaha will provide free care and maintenance to carriers and stadium hardware stands; all ADLA participating schools will have the opportunity to receive a free custom fit for the lineup of Yamaha Randy May carriers. Additionally, Yamaha will be providing a number of carriers at no charge to schools in need.

"Yamaha has been a great partner of the American Drum Line Association. The participants take great pride in earning their Yamaha drum trophies as championships," said Barbara Kelley, Director of Public Relations and Sponsorships, ADLA. "Our association can only continue to grow with great working relationships with organizations such as Yamaha."
