"Yamaha has been an active participant in the J.W. Pepper/Ted Brown Music Band Workshop since 1998," said Larry Chamberlain, Yamaha District Manager, Band & Orchestral Division. "The hole-in-one contest has added a lot of excitement for the participants. We're thrilled that we finally have a winner and look forward to delivering the drumline to Ben very soon."

The Birch Bay Band Workshop is a popular week-long music clinic attracting over 100 music band directors from Washington State. Participants have the opportunity to test out new sheet music and determine if they want to buy it for their students.

"We appreciate Yamaha's involvement by providing this great incentive for the directors," said Patricia Howland, Vice President, J. W. Pepper & Co. "It was so fitting, on this the 50th anniversary of the workshop, for Ben to win the Hole-in-One Contest."
