Legends & Lyrics Debuts on PBS
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Legends & Lyrics, a unique musical performance series showcasing the art of songwriting, recently made its television debut on PBS.
Filmed in an intimate performance hall in Nashville, Tennessee, in front of a live audience, YCAA was happy to provide a C7S grand piano, which takes center stage in each episode. Each show is a mixture of famous recording artists from all genres who write their own hit songs as well as the professional song poets they sometimes depend on to write hit songs for them.
Several Yamaha artists are featured in the first series, including: Richard Marx, Phil Vassar and John Hiatt. The second season was filmed this past February and will feature several more Yamaha artists, including Gavin DeGraw and Marc Cohn.
