The Racine Scouts
Founded in 1927, the group is the oldest, continually competitive Junior Corps in North America. Originally formed as a Boy Scout organization, the corps continues to promote scouting values in today's highly competitive marching music activity.

"Today's drum and bugle corps come in all shapes and sizes. The Scouts are a fantastic group doing wonderful things for the greater Racine community and all parts of Wisconsin," said Troy Wollwage, Marketing Manager, Yamaha Percussion. "When one of America's oldest competitive drum and bugle corps chooses something it means a lot. We're especially proud that they have chosen to go with Yamaha percussion beginning this season."

Known as the "Chrome Domes," the Racine Scouts celebrated their 80th anniversary in 2007. "Yamaha is fabulous," states Andrea Birbilis, Corps Director, The Racine Scouts. "They treat us with respect, they respond right away and the kids adore their instruments."
