The 2009 Julius Baker Master Class Winners Announced

BUENA PARK, Calif.—The 2009 Julius Baker Master Classes-The Legacy Continues, held annually on the campus of Western Connecticut State University, presented Yamaha prizes to the following winners: first place - Jyhyun Goo, second place - Karen Hauge and third place - Emma Resmini.

The final concert featured the prize winners as soloists, with Linda Mark on piano. Guest performers/teachers during the week included; Tadeu Coelho, Sandra Church, Bradley Garner, Susan Hoeppner, Trudy Kane, Jeffrey Khaner and Gary Schocker. Coordinator Vanita Hall Jones, conducted the flute ensembles in the evening performance. The internationally held event will continue in 2010 in the memory of world-renowned flute artist Julius Baker.
