BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha's famed line of acoustic-electric folk guitar models, the FGX dreadnought and the FJX medium-jumbo series has been expanded to include a new member of the family, the FSX concert-sized guitar.

Like its cousins, the FSX730SC and the FSX720SC offer exceptional value and build quality, including a solid Sitka Spruce top, a depth profile similar to a dreadnought, tight tuners, bound bodies and on-board amplification. The FSX730SC comes with the critically acclaimed one-way Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) preamp; the FSX720SC features a System55T piezo pickup with built-in tuner.

"Our customers have been asking for a concert-sized FG acoustic-electric cutaway for a long time," says Dennis Webster, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. "The FSX series is a perfect gigging acoustic-electric guitar with a comfortable body profile that is still deep enough to push major air and the pickup system is awesome, to boot. These guitars are hands-down winners."

The FSX730SC and the FSX720SC are expected to ship in February 2010.
