BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha provided two C7S silent grand pianos for the recent Hope for Haiti benefit concert, which aired on January 22, 2009 on more than a dozen U.S. television networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, HBO and MTV, as well as on numerous television stations internationally.

Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and others played the Yamaha instrument during this monumental fundraiser. The star-studded event raised more than $61 million dollars for Haitian relief efforts following the devastating earthquake. People may continue to donate to the site for the next six months.

The televised concert event was organized by Hollywood actor and social activist George Clooney and featured more than 40 celebrities contributing to the cause with their support and performances.

The Hope for Haiti concert will raise funds for charities providing relief to survivors of the earthquake, including the Red Cross, Unicef, Partners in Health and Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Foundation. CNN's Anderson Cooper broadcast live from Haiti during the event.
