BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha is pleased to introduce YFH-8315G/GS and YFH-8310Z/ZS flugelhorns. The YFH-8315G/GS model was designed in collaboration with trumpet virtuoso Jeremy Pelt, while the YFH-8310Z/ZS was designed with trumpet legend Bobby Shew.

Both models offer players a new trigger system as well as a new leadpipe design. Additionally, as in other Yamaha models, the monel pistons are resistant to corrosion and are an ideal choice for professionals. The flugelhorns' hand-lapping pistons and slides ensure an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. Such a tight fit helps to achieve efficient air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.

"The new designs of the YFH-8310Z and the YFH-8315G are receiving great reactions from musicians," said Jonathan Goldman, product specialist, Yamaha Winds. "Their sound is fantastic and it features a great deal of depth; players are going to love it!"
