Yamaha's Support Instrumental To Summer Symposium
NORMAL, Ill. — For the 14th year in a row, Yamaha is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the Music For All (MFA) Summer Symposium, a yearly educational gathering of young musicians and educators from across the country. Yamaha has been a supporter of Summer Symposium since 1992, and the Yamaha Young Performing Artists Winner's Concert has been a featured event at Summer Symposium since the first year of the highly competitive young artist competition in 1988.
Yamaha has loaned over 85 brand new concert percussion instruments, including timpani, snare drums, marimbas, toms and more, for use by the students attending the weeklong clinic. These instruments are currently available for sale to schools at a generously reduced price, and will be delivered after the clinic has finished. Summer Symposium will be taking place this year from June 19th to June 26th on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.

Being able to connect these educators with such passionate students is one of Yamaha's foremost priorities, and we couldn't be happier to see it all come together for another year."
Yamaha will also be showcasing several of their new and popular instruments at The Yamaha Zone, a special area for students and educators to have hands on experiences with Yamaha wind, percussion and keyboard instruments, as well as the latest in electronic drums and live sound products. Yamaha artists will also be presenting Yamaha Technology Sessions as part of the Leadership Weekend Experience for educators, demonstrating the latest technological advancements in string instruments, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, woodwinds and drum sets, and how this technology can be utilized in an educational setting. Overall, 19 Yamaha Clinicians, all master teachers in their fields, will be part of Summer Symposium as both educators and performers.
