Yamaha Reveals Dynamic New Apps, Multi-Tasking Keyboards And New Guitar Models at Summer NAMM 2012

NASHVILLE—At one of Summer NAMM 2012's largest exhibits, Yamaha Corporation of America will introduce several new products, including the PSR-E433 keyboard, the P-105 portable digital piano, A Series in Vintage Sunburst finish, FS700S and FSX700SCA, as well as a host of new apps including NoteStar and Synth Arps & Drum Pad. Yamaha Guitars will sponsor Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night, to be held Friday, July 13 at 8:30 pm in the Nashville Renaissance Hotel, featuring Yamaha Guitar Artists Don Alder and Ladd Smith.

Yamaha unveils updates to its recently launched NoteStar app for iPad, designed to give all piano and keyboard players the experience of playing with a real band. Summer NAMM 2012 attendees are invited to stop by the Yamaha booth to explore the media-rich digital sheet music program that motivates keyboard players by providing a dynamic, fun performance experience. Called “well-designed and versatile” by The New York Times. The app now features a convenient vocal muting option, which enables the performer (or performers) to sing along – Karaoke style. Since its release, NoteStar has been consistently adding 20 new song titles per month.

Yamaha also debuts the PSR-E433, a powerful new keyboard with all the tools needed to create compelling, professional-sounding music. With the PSR-E433, it's easier than ever to learn how to play and share music with friends. Geared towards families looking for a versatile first keyboard, the PSR-E433 makes learning and experimenting fun. Experience DJ-style music-making with the PSR-E433's new DJ Pattern mode. In DJ Pattern mode, players can Mute tracks, change sections and transpose in real time. Assignable Live Control Knobs put users in the driver's seat, empowering them to sculpt their sounds on the fly by adding effects, changing filter settings or modifying the stereo image from pinpoint thin to wider than the speakers via the Ultra-Wide Stereo effect.

Players can also take 731 detailed instrument sounds spin and USB connectivity lets users save and load settings directly to and from a USB flash drive and connect directly to your computer or iPad (Camera Connection Kit is required.)

Yamaha also launches the P-105, a new compact, portable digital piano featuring the legendary Yamaha piano touch and tone, at the show. With core piano features for virtually any level of musician, the P-105 is an ideal practice instrument for the beginner to intermediate pianist as well as for the price-conscious semi-professional.

The Yamaha P-105 has an 88-note, Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) weighted action keyboard, and features the PureCF sound engine that recreates the sound of Yamaha's famous CFIIIS concert grand piano.

The versatile USB TO HOST port and line-level AUX outputs allow a variety of connectivity options with everything from an amplifier to an iPad. Additionally, with the optional Apple Camera Connection Kit, the world of Yamaha Apps like Piano Diary and NoteStar opens up all sorts of possibilities.[Yamaha Strings, part of the company's Band & Orchestral Division will highlight newer Silent Strings models, including the SLB-200LTD Silent Bass, a performance-oriented upright bass designed with a compact body that makes transport a breeze, along with the SV-250 4-string and SV-255 5-string Acoustic-body Silent Violins.]

Yamaha Guitars will be showcasing three new models, the critically acclaimed A Series guitars are now available in a gorgeous vintage burst finish, along with the FS700S and FSX700SCA, small body versions of the top-selling FG700S and FGX700SCA, respectively.
