NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Yamaha unveils updates to its recently launched NoteStar app for iPad, designed to give all piano and keyboard players the experience of playing with a real band.
Summer NAMM 2012 attendees are invited to stop by the Yamaha booth to explore the media-rich digital sheet music program that motivates keyboard players by providing a dynamic, fun performance experience.
The app now features a convenient vocal muting option, which enables the performer (or performers) to sing along - Karaoke style. Since its release, NoteStar has been consistently adding 20 new song titles per month.
Called "well-designed and versatile" by The New York Times, NoteStar provides smooth flowing, easy-to-read, auto-page turning sheet music accompanied by real, great sounding backing bands and vocals to give users the experience of playing their favorite songs with a real band.
"Yamaha is committed to enhancing our customers' musical experiences," says Patrick Galligan, Marketing Manager at Yamaha Music Interactive, Inc. "The NoteStar app allows keyboard players to take their performances to the next level, while enjoying the experience of playing with a band."
NoteStar is a free download from the App Store and each song sells for $3.99. It is available immediately in 31 countries including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
