Yamaha Provides Sound Reinforcement for Summer NAMM 2012

Buena Park, Calif. — When musicians, dealers and musical instrument manufacturers gather together to talk business, there's bound to be an abundance of sound reinforcement requirements. Yamaha's Live Sound department provided Summer NAMM in Nashville with 10 MGP16X mixers, eight DXR10 speakers, 32 DXR12 speakers and 14 DXS15 subs to ensure that performers and speakers sounded great.

Music filled the Exhibit Hall throughout the show's three-day run, as 17 musical acts with varying sound reinforcement needs performed. At the Foundation Lounge, 15 acts appeared during the show. Greg Herreman supervised the sound system set ups on the Exhibit Hall and Foundation Lounge entertainment stages, along with the Saturday public breakout rooms, the Retail Bootcamp presentation and the Import/Export Task Force session.

"We were very pleased with the equipment we got from Yamaha," said Herreman. "The loudspeakers, the subs and the mixers sounded great and worked like they were supposed to. It's very reliable gear. Even though we didn't need to push the speakers too hard, since most acts were low-volume, my engineers mentioned that the speakers sounded really good."
