Yamaha Announces New App and Firmware Updates for DTX Electronic Drums

BUENA PARK, Calif. (November 25, 2024) — Yamaha Corporation of America announces free upgrades for electronic drum modules as well as an exciting new app for DTX customers.

Available for select iOS and Android devices, the DTX Touch app uses an intuitive, graphics-driven interface allowing users to easily select and modify kits within DTX-PRO (DTX6 & DTX8) and DTX-PROX (DTX10) modules. Adjust parameters such as muffling, pad layering, trigger levels/velocity, mix EQ, modify panning and other effects all in real time.

DTX Firmware V2.00 unlocks exciting new possibilities for your DTX-PRO and DTX-PROX modules, with 30 new, high quality, preset kits, including Recording Custom and PHX (on DTX-PROX) and new cymbal samples, plus advanced control parameters improving ease of use and enhanced expressive playing.
